WEATHER TIPS:

  • Alberta enjoys the highest number of sunny days in Canada. Even in winter, the sky is often clear as the sun shines brightly on the snow.
  • Banff: The relative dryness of the air makes cooler temperatures more bearable. (Average highs of 2C/36/F.)
  • Lake Louise: Being a 1000 ft higher than Banff, temperatures are slightly cooler with more snow.
  • Jasper: Dry mountain air varied with periods of cold snowy weather can quickly change to a mild Chinook wind.
